Melissa Allen, MSW, LMSW is the Bereavement Coordinator at Benton Hospice Service. She works with individual and families who are dealing with loss or grief of all types regardless of whether a family member received hospice care. She works in homes, schools and workplaces with adults and children, employers and co-workers, students and teachers providing education and grief support. She holds a BA in Sociology with a minor in education from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City.
Melissa Allen came to Benton Hospice Service in 2012 from Atlanta, Georgia where she worked as a placement coordinator for a therapeutic foster care program. As Benton Hospice Service Bereavement Coordinator, she is responsible for overseeing the bereavement care for over 350 families annually.
